• Medium Worsted Weight Yarn, for my sample blanket I used I Love This Yarn (click here to shop) and Yarn Bee Yarn ID (click here to shop). Or for natural fibers, I recommend Paintbox Yarns Cotton Aran (click here to shop)
• Note: to make this as a baby/toddler/kid blanket, I highly recommend using DK yarn, an F/5 – 3.75mm hook, and about 25% less yarn. For DK yarn, I recommend Paintbox Yarns Simply DK or Stylecraft Special DK

  • Gray 110 yards
  • Medium Brown 40 yards

• H/8 – 5.00mm Crochet Hook (I love this set of Clover Amour crochet hooks)
• Yarn Needle, for weaving in ends

Gauge and Size

• This chart is 60 squares by 90 squares
• The approximate finished size using the recommended medium worsted weight yarn and hook size is 45″x68″ or 114x173cm
• Gauge will vary depending on the brand of yarn used and your personal tension, but a 7×7 square made with the recommended medium worsted weight yarn and hook should be approximately 5”x5” or 13x13cm. Your personal gauge can affect the finished size by several inches/centimeters.
